Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best known for playing in the popular television show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. From his early college days Meloni had a keen interest in acting. After that, he attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been in films and on television, it is the actors portrayed in small screen which have earned him acclaim. He has been able to seamlessly play the roles of characters on both sides of the law to grab an audience's interest. The first show he worked on was a television show, however, he was later an officer for the NYPD. His small-screen performances are rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. He is famous for his blue-piercing eyes, which have become an iconic feature and have helped to create a charismatic character for tough roles. The People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured the actor.
